I walked up to the board and saw EVERYTHING erased and the specials on there were, dare I say it, NORMAL??

But, I looked at the specials on the menu and found 1 item that gave me that furrowed brow.

1) What about this salad is Californian? and

2) I have never heard of an onion being referred to as “Frizzled” and I watch a lot of Food Network shows! I looked up “frizzled” in the dictionary and found this definition:

: burn, scorch
Is that what I want for my onion in my California salad???
